February is half way over and it’s been unseasonably warm around here lately. So I’ve begun planning my spring wardrobe and gathering inspiration for my look. When I think of spring, I envision the sun shining yet it’s still crisp + cold out. Delicate pastel flowers start to emerge and the grass slowly comes back to life. For me this was best translated through bright whites, soft blues, selective pastels, as well as delicate grays.

If you remember my last wardrobe update, I’ve been following Caroline on Un-Fancy for some time and adapting her strategy to capsule wardrobe building. And now I’m entering my third season of following this strategy, and I’ve discovered that my wardrobe has evolved in a similar way as Caroline’s. At this point, 75% of my spring wardrobe essentials are key items from past seasons. So this time I will be focused on either refining my style further, upgrading lesser-quality items, or experimenting with a new style.

I’ve already planned my full wardrobe and am slowly purchasing missing items. But here are some of the pieces that I considered an absolute must for the upcoming months…
