moodboard : authentic edge

March 7 2013

Sometimes it’s not just the moodboard that gets me excited about a project – in this case it was the discovery process. It wasn’t an easy answer project and I love that! It’s so rewarding to help a client self-discover what the exact language of their brand is and see that transform over time.

This client is a fashion and portrait photographer located in D.C. She wanted something that appealed to her high-end fashion dreams, but still communicated the style of photography she is drawn to. We started all over from sophisticated to decorative type. And then circled back to bright bold colors versus this more muted and soft palette. I’m so ecstatic to see it all fall together from our discoveries.

I’m so happy to see where the moodboard has landed. We chose photography that felt authentic and exposed and used her favorite color in a sophisticated feminine way that maintained an high end fashion edge.

So beautiful. I love the color tones as well.

Always enjoy your moodboards! They are some of my favorite aspects of a new project. <3
